Child Abuse Imagery Arrest – R16-17658
The Winnipeg Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit was alerted to illicit images being uploaded to a Winnipeg-based IP address and entered into an investigation.
On October 26, 2016, a search warrant was executed related to this IP address. Numerous computers and electronic devices were seized and analysed. As a result, hundreds of videos and thousands of images of Child Pornography were retrieved.
Gerald LEMER,59 years of Winnipeg, was arrested and chared with the following offenses:
- Possess Child Pornography
- Distribute Child Pornography x 2
Lemer was detained in custody.
