Thursday, January 26, 2017 Robbery Arrest – C17-17568 On January 25, 2017, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a Weapon call at Garden City Collegiate at 711 Jefferson Avenue. Initial information was that a male, armed with a machete, assaulted a male youth inside the school. A 16-year-old victim was transported to hospital where he was treated and released. Numerous police units assisted in this incident, including; School Resource, Tactical Support Team, General Patrol and the District 3 Crime Unit. As a result of their combined efforts, a 16-year-old male youth was arrested.
