Update - Homicide Investigation - C17-0026739
As previously released -On February 6, 2017 at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers along with members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to the 500 block of Magnus Avenue regarding an injured male.
   
A 28 year old male identified as Canon Franklin BEARDY of Winnipeg was located suffering from multiple serious injuries and transported to hospital in critical condition. He has since succumbed to his injuries.
   
Members of the Homicide Unit were notified and continue to investigate.

Update - Homicide Investigation - C17-0027664
   
Male shot - Public Assistance Requested:
   
As previously released -On February 8, 2017 at approximately 10:10 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of Powers Street and Aberdeen Avenue regarding an injured male.
   
A 24 year old male identified as Bryer James PRYSIAZNIUK-SETTEE was located with injuries consistent with being shot. He was transported to hospital in critical condition and later pronounced deceased.
   
Members of the Homicide Unit have been notified and continue to investigate.
   
Witnesses who may have seen or heard anything in relation to the incident is asked to call police immediately.

Homicide – Arrest - C17-2092
   
Charges Upgraded:
 
As previously released -On January 3, 2017, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to reports of gunshots heard in the vicinity of Thames Avenue and Watt Street.
   
Responding officers located an adult male lying in the roadway. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Tyler Kirton, 25-years-old, of Winnipeg.
   
On January 4, 2017 Homicide investigators arrested and charged a 16-year-old male with 2nd Degree Murder in relation to his involvement.
   
After further review, on February 8, 2017, the 16-year old male was taken into custody by members of the Major Crimes Unit and an arrest warrant was executed for 1st Degree Murder.
   
He remains in custody.
