Homicide – Arrest: C17-26739
On March 23, 2017 members of the Winnipeg Police Homicide Unit made an arrest in the homicide of Canon Franklin BEARDY. Beardy was killed on February 6, 2016 in the 500 block of Magnus Avenue.
   
A 16-year-old male has been charged with:
  - Second Degree Murder
  - Possess Proceeds of Crime
  - Flight from Police Officer
And a number of related offences.
   
On February 16, 2017 members of the homicide unit arrested a 14-year-old male. He was charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with this incident.
   
Members of the Winnipeg Police Homicide Unit continue to investigate this incident and are seeking the public's assistance in locating the following suspect;

 

 
   
Joshua LECLERC, 19-years-old is the subject of an arrest warrant for Second Degree.
   
   
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this individual is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
   
   
Serious Assault Investigation – Arrests: C16-238219
Investigators from the Winnipeg Police Major Crimes Unit have arrested two suspects in connection with this serious assault that had occurred on November 13, 2016.
   
On March 15, 2017, police arrested Harriet Jane PASCAL, 31 years, of Winnipeg. Pascal has been charged with:
   - Assault
   - Fail to Comply Probation
   
On March 23, 2017, police arrested Michael James MACDONALD, 39 years, of Winnipeg. MacDonald has been charged with:
   - Attempt to Commit Murder
   - Assault
   
Both accused were detained in custody.
   
As previously released:  
On November 13, 2016, at approximately 8:40 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of an injured male in the 300 block of Princess Street.
   
A 29-year-old male was located with serious upper-body injuries. He was transported to hospital in critical condition. He received treatment for his injuries and has since been released from hospital.
   
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-619 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
