Public Mischief – Arrest – C17-87474
On April 28th, 2017, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of a bomb threat at a retail mall in the 1200 block of St Mary's Road.
Numerous police resources were deployed including General Patrol, Community Support and K-9 members.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., a second bomb threat for the same location was received while police resources remained on-scene.
Uniformed members partnered with mall security personnel to resolve the situation and both threats were determined to be unfounded.
An investigation resulted in the arrest of an 18-year-old male in the area of Bishop Grandin Boulevard between River Road and St. Mary's Road.
Baron Morisette has been charged with the following:
- Public Mischief (x2)
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
He was detained in custody.
