Assaults Investigation – Arrest: C17-65083

On April 1, 2017, a male victim made arrangements over a dating web site to meet a female at a residence in Winnipeg. Once at this location, the victim was physically assaulted, stabbed several times and robbed of his wallet and car keys.

The incident was live streamed over social media and someone watching the attack notified Winnipeg Police. Officers immediately attended to the location of the assault where the victim was located and the suspects were arrested.

The victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

An 18-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:

- Aggravated Assault

- Robbery

- Extortion

- Possession of a Weapon

- Forcible Confinement

- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence

- And a number of related offences

 

A 44-year-old female of Winnipeg has been charged with:

          - Aggravated Assault

          - Forcible Confinement

          - Possession of a Weapon

          - Robbery

          - Extortion

          - Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence

 

A 17-year-old female of Winnipeg has been charged with:

- Aggravated Assault

- Robbery

- Extortion

- Possession of a Weapon

- Forcible Confinement

- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence

- And a number of related offences

 

 

 

Shots Fired Investigation – C17-67132

On April 4, 2017 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a male shot at a residence in the 100 block of Harvard Avenue East. A 30-year-old male was located suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was admitted to hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to stable.
