Assault Investigation: C17-92521  
On May 4, 2017, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of an assault that had occurred in the vicinity of St. John's High School, located at 401 Church Avenue.
   
While the investigation is still ongoing, it appears that an adult male suffered an upper body injury while in a park adjacent to the school. The victim was assisted into the school by staff members. He was transported to hospital and is now listed in stable condition.
   
It also appears that pepper spray (OC/oleoresin capsicum) was discharged in the altercation. As a result, three youths have been conveyed to hospital as a precautionary measure due to pepper spray contamination.
   
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
