Serious Motor Vehicle Accident - Arrest: C17-114295
As previously released on May 28, 2017:
   
On May 28th, 2017, at approximately 3:25 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of a hit and run incident involving a pedestrian at Jefferson Avenue and McPhillips Street.
   
Upon arrival, an 18-year-old male was located and transported to hospital in critical condition where he remains.
   
Traffic Collision Investigators entered into an investigation and as a result were able to identify a suspect driver.
   
On June 12, 2017, Daniel BEMBENEK, 22-years-old, of Winnipeg has been arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm and Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Involving Bodily Harm.
   
The accused has been detained in custody.
   
   
Commercial Robbery - Arrest: C17-127643
On June 12, 2017 at approximately 5:20 a.m. Winnipeg Police responded to the report of a commercial robbery in the 800 block of Arlington St.
   
Two suspects had entered the business, one armed with a machete, and demanded money and cigarettes. 
   
One adult male was located in the area a short time later and taken into custody. Officered recovered the machete and a quantity of cigarettes stolen.
   
Shayne Kelvin Curtis PETERS, 32-years-old of Winnipeg has been arrested and charged with the following offences:
  - Robbery
  - Disguise with Intent
  - Possess Weapon
  - Resist Peace Officers
  - Possess Scheduled Substance
  - Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
   
The accused was detained in custody.

Commercial Break & Enter - Arrest: C17-127643
On June 13, 2017 at approximately 3:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police were alerted to the sound of banging followed by an alarm sounding at a commercial property in the 100 block of Austin St.
   
A lone suspected entered the property and caused extensive damage to the contents within the building before fleeing on foot. He was later located in the immediate area of the break-in.
   
Rance Clifton ABRAHAM, 40-years-old, of Winnipeg has been arrested and charged with the following offences:
  - Break & Enter with Intent
  - Mischief Over $5000
  - Fail to Comply with Probation Order X2
