Tuesday, June 6, 2017 Thunderwing Feast and Resource Fair June 7th, 2017 4:00p.m On Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 from 4:00-7:00p.m. The Thunderwing Project will be hosting a Community Feast and Resource Fair, at William Whyte School - 200 Powers St. Thunderwing, the first project of the Block by Block Community Safety and Wellbeing Initiative,supports individuals and families living in William Whyte and Dufferin Neighbourhoods and the agencies serving them. Thunderwing coordinates and mobilizes existing resources across sectors to give families the support they need so they can prevent and stabilize crisis situations. Block by Block - Community Safety and Wellbeing Initiative is a platform for authentic collaboration that improves community safety and social outcomes for families by unlocking community, agency and family capacity. The Winnipeg Police Service supports and has been a partner of this Initiative since inception in 2014. Thunderwing is a great example of our continued commitment to build safe and healthy communities across Winnipeg through excellence in law enforcement and leadership in Crime Prevention through Social Development. . There are more than 20 different partner organizations involved in Thunderwing. Community members are invited to attend to hear about Thunderwing successes and to meet the many partners involved, including a number of Community and Government Service Providers. Greetings will be provided by Minister of Justice and Attorney General Heather Stefanson and Winnipeg Police Chief Danny Smyth.
