Thursday, September 28, 2017      Infant Death – Arrest: C17-216768 On September 26, 2017, at approximately 3:30 p.m., investigators from the Winnipeg Police Service Child Abuse Unit were advised of a 10-month-old infant that had been brought to a hospital with injuries, and was in critical condition. Later that day the child succumbed to the injuries.     As a result of the Child Abuse Unit investigation, a 22-year-old male has been charged with Criminal Negligence Cause Death.  The male is the foster parent of the child and his name is not being released at this time.  The investigation is ongoing.
