Wanted - 2nd Degree Murder: C17-166069

The Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit is requesting the public's assistance in locating the following male:

Edmond CHARTRAND, 29-years-old, of Winnipeg. He is described as Indigenous, 6', 170 lbs, with short black hair and brown eyes.

 

On July 27, 2017, at approximately 7:45 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a residence in the 100 block of Euclid Avenue for a report of an injured male.

Upon arrival, officers located both a 29-year-old male and a 31-year-old female who had been stabbed. The victims were transported to hospital in critical condition. The female was upgraded to stable condition; however, the male has succumbed to his injuries.

Anyone with information regarding Chartrands whereabouts or any information related to this investigation is asked to contact Homicide investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
