Tip a Cop Fundraiser – Update
Yesterday, the Winnipeg Police Service took part in the 7th annual Tip a Cop fundraiser in partnership with Boston Pizza.
We are proud to announce that over $13,000 was raised for the University of Winnipeg Opportunity Fund which provides scholarships to inner-city youth in memory of injured and fallen police officers. The scholarships provide opportunities for inner-city youth to continue with post-secondary education at the University of Winnipeg.
To date, the event, combined with the Winnipeg Police Community Challenge Golf tournament, has raised over $150,000.00.
The Winnipeg Police Service wishes to thank the public for their great support. We would also like to thank the staff at our Boston Pizza restaurants for their help and assistance.
