Friday, November 3, 2017   Tip a Cop Fundraiser – Update   Yesterday, the Winnipeg Police Service took part in the 7th annual Tip a Cop fundraiser in partnership with Boston Pizza.   We are proud to announce that over $13,000 was raised for the University of Winnipeg Opportunity Fund which provides scholarships to inner-city youth in memory of injured and fallen police officers. The scholarships provide opportunities for inner-city youth to continue with post-secondary education at the University of Winnipeg.   To date, the event, combined with the Winnipeg Police Community Challenge Golf tournament, has raised over $150,000.00.   The Winnipeg Police Service wishes to thank the public for their great support.
