Drug Trafficking – Arrest: R17-101771
 
During the morning of December 16, 2017, members of the Division 11 Community Support Unit, with the assistance of the Street Crime Unit and East District Community Support Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of St. Johns Avenue.
 
Three individuals were located inside the residence and taken into custody. An investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:
 
- 21.5 ounces of Methamphetamine (valued at approximately $21,500).
- $4,560 in Canadian currency.
 
In addition, 2 grams of Methamphetamine and $745 in Canadian currency was seized from one suspect.
 
Jacques Joseph Girardin, a 41-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of Scheduled Substance - Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2)
 
Cameron Douglas Boychuk, a 36-year-old male of West St. Paul, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
 
Both were detained in custody.
 
A 30-year-old female of West St. Paul has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
 
She was released on a Promise to Appear.
 
Investigators believe that these arrests and the seized items are related to drug trafficking within the city.
