Possess Goods - Arrests: C17-279374

On September 25, 2017 an adult male attended to a business in the 400 block of Ellice Avenue and cashed a fraudulent check. This was later reported to police.                     

On November 25, 2017 the same adult male attended to a business in the 3000 block of Pembina Hwy and stole an entire lottery display with approximately 300 lottery tickets worth a value under $5000. 

Between November 29 - 30, 2017 a 2002 Grey Honda Civic Si was stolen from a residence.

On December 2, 2017 a licence plate was reported stolen from a different 2002 Honda Civic Si.

Between December 3 - 4, 2017 a licence plate was stolen from a 2005 Honda Civic LX.

On December 4, 2017 a licence plate was stolen from a 2001 Honda Civic.

On the same date, the previously mentioned adult male attended to a business in the 3000 block of Portage Avenue and again stole a lottery display containing numerous lottery tickets valued at approximately $1,200.00

On December 12, 2017, members of the Winnipeg Police located the stolen 2002 Honda Civic parked in the 400 block of Spence Street bearing two of the stolen license plates. The suspect male and an adult female were inside the vehicle and were taken into custody.

Upon checking the vehicle, officers located five grams of powdered cocaine with an approximate value of $300.00.

Ryan Jeron SMITH, 35-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Theft Under $5000 X2
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime X4
  • Fraud Under $5000

Danielle Marie DEBOYNTON, 36-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime X3
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking

Both have been detained in custody.
