Firearm/Drugs – Arrest: C17-275794
During the morning of November 9, 2017, members of the Street Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Atlantic Avenue.
A female was located inside the residence and taken into custody. An investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:
- A .410 shotgun with ammunition
- 92 ounces of methamphetamine (valued at approximately $75,000)
- 65 pills of pressed methamphetamine (valued at approximately $650)
- 3 grams of cocaine (valued at approximately $240)
- $2,220 in Canadian currency
A 41-year-old female of Winnipeg has been arrested for:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine (x2)
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance - Cocaine
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
Investigators believe that this arrest and the seized items are related to drug trafficking within the city.
