Break and Enter - Arrests: C18-20097
On January 28, 2018 at approximately 4:20 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was alerted to a commercial alarm in the 1100 block of Taylor Avenue. General Patrol and two K9 Units in the area immediately responded. Upon their arrival they observed a vehicle in front of the business. The front window of the business was smashed out and several people were running from the parking lot.
   
Three males were apprehended in the area and placed under arrest.
   
A large quantity of glasses and sunglasses were stolen from the business.
   
The vehicle in front of the business was determined to have been stolen earlier in the evening from the 400 block of Edmonton Street. It was left unattended while running with the keys in it.
   
In addition, items stolen from a Break and Enter which occurred earlier in the morning in the first 100 block of Chaikoski Court were located inside the stolen vehicle.
   
Shaun William COOK, 18-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter and Theft - Place
  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 X3
  • Break, Enter and Theft - Dwelling
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence X5

 
Rylie Johimal Keith WIGGINS, 20-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter and Theft - Place
  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Break, Enter and Theft - Dwelling
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence X2

John Henry SINCLAIR, 18-years-olf of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter and Theft - Place
  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Break, Enter and Theft - Dwelling
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance

 
All three males have been detained in custody.
   
Robbery - Arrest: C18-19199
On January 26, 2018 at approximately 10:35 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was alerted to a male wanted on warrants at a residence in the 400 block of Keenleyside Street. Officers attended and located an adult male and placed him under arrest. The details of the offences are as follows:
   
On November 2, 2017 the suspect, wearing a disguise and armed with a hand gun, robbed two businesses; one in the 1400 block of Main Street and the other in the 1000 block of Main Street. An undisclosed amount of money was obtained. No one was injured during the attack.
   
On November 3, 2017 the suspect, wearing a disguise and armed with a large knife, robbed five business in the following areas:

  • 100 block of Salter Street
  • 1300 block of Main Street
  • 700 block of Watt Street
  • 1100 block of Munroe Avenue
  • 500 block of Talbot Avenue

Cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money was obtained. No one was injured during the attack.
   
On December 2, 2017 the suspect, wearing a disguise and stating that he was armed with a gun, robbed two businesses; one in the 700 block of Watt Street and the other in the 1400 block of Main Street. An undisclosed amount of money was obtained. No one was injured during the attack.
   
On December 9, 2017 the suspect, wearing a disguise and armed with a gun, robbed a business in the 1300 block of Molson Street. An undisclosed amount of money was obtained. No one was injured during the attack.
   
Bryan Scott WIEBE, 25-years-old of Winnipeg was charged with:

  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance x 8
  • Armed Robbery Using a Firearm x 5
  • Use of Firearm During Commission of an Offence x 5
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order X10
  • Point Firearm X3
  • Possess Weapon X10
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X3
  • Disguise with Intent X10
  • Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
  • Robbery x 5

He has been detained in custody.
