The Winnipeg Police Service continues to work collaboratively with community partners to prevent, deter and reduce gang-related offences and drug activity in our communities.
That effort starts with the residents we serve and support. As part of that effort, the Winnipeg Police Service invites residents to join us for a public forum on these important issues this evening.
When: Monday, February 12, 2018 - 6:00 p.m.to 9 p.m.
Doors open at 6:00 pm
Presentations begin at 7 p.m.
Where: Gordon Bell High School, Drama Room - 3 Borrowman Place
In addition to the community crime prevention information booths that will be set up by our partners:
· Chief Danny Smyth will be in attendance.
· Divisional Commander for Division 11 will be present.
· There will be a presentation on Fentanyl.
· A Winnipeg Police Service Gang Expert will be presenting on public safety, dangers of gang association, and prevention, while providing information on how to help keep our young people from joining gangs.
· A Winnipeg Police Service Drug Expert will speak on Methamphetamine and it's connection to crime in Winnipeg.
· Crime Stoppers will be available to support those who wish to share information anonymously.
