Drugs & Firearm – Arrests: C18-39319
 
On February 23, 2018, at approximately 11:00 p.m., District 3 General Patrol members observed a stolen vehicle travelling in the area of Burrows Avenue and Arlington Street.
 
The vehicle was followed to the area of Inkster Boulevard and Salter Street where multiple units were used to bring the vehicle to a safe stop.
 
Four individuals were taken into custody and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a number of items including the following:
 
- 38 ounces of cocaine (valued at approximately $60,000).
- A .32 calibre revolver.
- An unknown calibre revolver.
- The frame of a replica 1911 handgun.
 
Shaine Christopher Paul, a 29-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations (x3)
- Possession of a Weapon (x3)
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition (x3)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle (x3)
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x3)
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (x3)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (x2)
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
 
Timothy Vance Porth, a 55-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations (x2)
- Possession of a Weapon (x3)
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition (x3)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (x3)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle (x3)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (x2)
 
Shannon Thomas Sanderson, a 42-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations (x3)
- Possession of a Weapon (x3)
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition (x3)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle (x3)
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x3)
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (x3)
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Poss is Unauthorized (x2)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (x2)
 
Ernest Gunther Wunnemann, a 45-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Weapon (x3)
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations (x3)
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition (x3)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle (x3)
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (x3)
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (x3)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2)
 
They were detained in custody.
 
Drugs & Firearm – Arrests: R17-89143
 
During the morning of February 24, 2018, members of the West District Community Support Unit executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a suite of an apartment in the Birchwood area.
 
Three individuals were taken into custody and an investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:
 
- 17.1 ounces of cocaine (valued at approximately $34,000).
- 76 grams of marihuana (valued at approximately $1,000).
- Packaging materials.
- A .22 calibre handgun with an auto sear and a loaded magazine.
- A .22 calibre suppressor with the ability to be affixed to the firearm.
- Various .22 calibre magazines and ammunition.
- An electroshock weapon ("stun gun").
- $1,000 in Canadian currency.
 
David Paul Moeckel, a 26-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cannabis (Marihuana)
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
- Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition (x2)
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (x2)
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x12)
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
 
Tessa Morgan Inglis, a 21-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cannabis (Marihuana)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (x2)
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
- Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition (x2)
- Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition

Travis Jordan Olson, a 25-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cannabis (Marihuana)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (x2)
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
- Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition (x2)
- Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
 
They were detained in custody.
 
Drugs – Arrest: C18-39822
 
During the evening of February 24, 2018, members of the East District Community Support Unit, with the assistance of the Division 11 Community Support Unit, Street Crimes Unit and Tactical Support Team, executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at a suite at a residential complex in Roslyn area and a garage in the St. John's area.
 
One individual was taken into custody and an investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:
 
- 9.3 ounces of cocaine (valued at approximately $18,500).
- 21.9 grams of marihuana (valued at approximately $220).
- 115 suspected MDMA pills (valued at approximately $1,150).
- 25 Tylenol 3's.
- Gang paraphernalia.
- Brass knuckles.
- Packaging materials.
 
James Keith Goodmanson, a 34-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cannabis (Marihuana)
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Ecstasy
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Codeine
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
 
He was detained in custody.
 
Drugs – Arrests: C18-40291
 
During the evening of February 25, 2018, members of the Street Crimes Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at a hotel room in the Richmond West area and a residence in the South Point area.
 
Two individuals were taken into custody and an investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:
 
- 38.3 ounces of methamphetamine (valued at approximately $76,600).
- 32.1 ounces of cocaine (valued at approximately $22,470).
- 61 grams of marihuana (valued at approximately $900).
- 259 morphine pills. 
- $22,765 in Canadian currency.
- Packaging materials.
- Scales.
 
 A 27-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:
 
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Morphine
- Possession of Scheduled Substance - Cannabis (Marihuana)
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
 
A 21-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:
 
- Fail to Comply Probation Order (Warrant)
 
They were released on Promise to Appears.
 
Motor Vehicle Collision – Update: C18-38600
 
As previously released:
 
On February 23, 2018, at approximately 3:50 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the intersection of Goulet Street and Traverse Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a transit bus and a car.
 
The driver of the car was transported to hospital in critical condition. The driver of the transit bus and a passenger in the car were transported to hospital in stable condition.
 
A preliminary investigation has revealed the transit bus had the right-of-way and was travelling westbound on Goulet Street when it was struck by the northbound car.
 
Alcohol is believed to be a factor at this time.
 
Members with the Traffic Division continued with the investigation.
 
The driver of the car, a 23-year-old male of Winnipeg, has since been upgraded to stable condition and has been charged with:
 
- Driving While Ability Impaired
- Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample - Blood
- Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
 
He was released on an Appearance Notice.
