Robbery - Arrests: C18-57705
On March 21, 2018, at approximately 6:20 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was alerted to a commercial robbery in 1300 block of Main Street. General patrol members attended and learned that the three females attempted to steal items from the store. When confronted by a female clerk they began to assault her. A male clerk intervened and was stabbed once, receiving a minor injury, not requiring immediate medical assistance.
   
A Winnipeg Police K-9 unit attended and began to track the suspects. All three were located at a residence in the 200 block of Cathedral Ave. and taken into custody.
   
Three youth females have been charged with Robbery and detained in custody.
   
Traffic Pursuit – MVC: C18-58586
   
On March 22, 2018, at approximately 5:00 a.m., an East District General Patrol unit located a stolen vehicle being driven in the area of Watt Street and Chalmers Avenue.  Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, however, the vehicle fled.
   
A short traffic pursuit ended with the stolen vehicle crashing into a barrier at the intersection of Higgins Avenue and McArthur Street.
   
2 adult females were taken to hospital. One has since been released and is currently in police custody. The second remains in hospital in stable condition.
   
Higgins Avenue was closed to traffic, but has since reopened.
