Motor Vehicle/Pedestrian Collision – Arrest: C17-116848

Investigators from the Winnipeg Police Service Traffic Division have laid charges in relation to a collision that occurred on May 31, 2017, at the intersection of Fermor Avenue and St Marys Road.

A 63-year-old female has been charged with Drive Dangerous Cause Bodily Harm under the Criminal Code. She was released on a Promise to Appear.

The victim had been released from the hospital after extensive treatment.

As previously released:

On May 31, 2017, at approximately 7:15 a.m., emergency services personnel responded to a 2-vehicle MVC at the intersection of Fermor Avenue and St Marys Road. As a result of the collision one of the vehicles struck a cyclist on the roadway.

The cyclist was transported to hospital in critical condition. The driver of one of the vehicles involved was transported to hospital in stable condition.

Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Central Traffic Unit remain on scene and are continuing to investigate.
