Robberies - Arrest: C18-102363
On May 17, 2018, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was alerted to a robbery which just occurred at a financial institution in the 100 block of St Anne's Road. General patrol officers attended and learned that an adult male wearing a disguise to hide his face, and armed with a knife, confronted a female teller and demanded money. He was provided with money and fled.
   
At approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Major Crimes Unit located the suspect at a residence in the first 100 block of Kettering Street at which time he was taken into custody.
   
Officers determined that the suspect was also responsible for the following robberies:
   
On January 12, 2009, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a female employee was working at a restaurant in the 200 block of Hargrave Street when the suspect grabbed her by the arm and demanded her money. She pulled away and the suspect fled empty-handed. A male employee pursued the suspect and confronted him at which time the suspect produced a knife and swung it at the male. The suspect fled.
   
On February 28, 2018, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the suspect, wearing a disguise to hide his face, attended a financial institution in the 1300 block of Pembina Hwy. Armed with a knife, he approached a female teller and demanded money. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled.
   
On March 7, 2018, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the suspect, wearing a disguise, attended a financial institution in the 1200 block of Grant Avenue. Armed with a knife he approached a female teller and demanded money. The teller advised that she needed to ask a manager at which time the manager pushed the suspect out the door, locked it and notified police. No money was obtained.
   
On March 8, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., the suspect, wearing a disguise, attended a financial institution in the 1300 block of Henderson Hwy. Armed with a knife he entered an office and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled.
   
On March 23, 2018, at 7:45 p.m., the suspect, wearing a disguise, attended a financial institution in the 200 block of St. Anne's Road. He approached a female teller and demanded money. He was given a small sum of money and then jumped the counter demanding to be escorted to the vault. He searched several drawers for money before fleeing.
   
On April 12, 2018, at approximately 7:55 p.m., the suspect, wearing a disguise, attended a financial institution in the 1800 block of Portage Avenue. Armed with a knife, he approached a female teller and demanded money. He was provided with an undisclosed amount of money and fled.
   
Andrew Jason MARCEAU, a 43-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Robbery X7
  • Disguise with Intent X7
  • Possess Weapon 

He has been detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre. 
   
Weapons - Arrest: C18-102109
On May 17, 2017, at approximately 3:30 p.m. members of the Community Support Unit, Street Crimes Unit and the Tactical Support, executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Machray Avenue. Inside the residence, officers located and seized:
   

  • A sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun with altered serial number
  • Ammunition
  • Approximately 465 grams of Cannabis Marihuana with a street value of $4,650.00
  • Contaminated operational digital scale
  • 7 x 1 gram packets of cannabis resin shatter with a street value of $350.00
  • 1 package of Cannabis resin edibles totaling 250 milligrams with a street value of $25.00
  • 12 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms) with a street value of $180.00
  • Approximately$4,500 Canadian currency

Jonathan Andrew Paul RHODENIZER, a 35-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with: 

  • Possession of Psilocybin
  • Possession of Cannabis Resin
  • Possession of Cannabis Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X2
  • Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order X 5
