Robbery – Arrests: C18-179047
On August 18, 2018, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a male stabbed in the area of Central Park. A 19-year-old male victim was located a number of blocks away suffering from serious, multiple, upper-body stab wounds. He was transported to hospital in critical condtion. His condtion has since been upgraded to stable.
   
An investigation determined that the victim and a 21-year-old female were in Central Park when they were confronted by 2 males who attempted to rob them of their belongings. Both victims were forced to lay on the ground and the male victim was violently attacked.
   
Members of Central Division General Patrol located and arrested 2 suspects from a hotel in area a short time later.
   
Kenneth Alfred Alex McKAY, 25, of God's River, Manitoba, has been charged with:
 - Robbery x 2
 - Aggravated Assault
 - Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
 - Utter Threats x 2
   
Michael Frank FLETT, 23, of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
 - Robbery x 2
 - Aggravated Assault
 - Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
 - Utter Threats x 2
   
Both accused were detained in custody.
