Sexual Assault - Investigation: C18-181912
On August 21, 2018, at approximately 5:45 p.m., General Patrol members responded to a report of a female who appeared to have been assaulted. The victim, an 18-year-old female, reported that she was walking along the river path in the area of Queen Elizabeth Way when she was approached by two males who pushed her and grabbed her backpack. The males assaulted the victim before seriously sexually assaulting her.
   
One male is described as being in his 30's, with dark skin and approximately 5'10" with short brown hair and a beard. The second male is described as being in his 20's, with light skin and dirty blonde hair.
   
This investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
   
   
Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision: C18-181996
On August 21, 2018, at approximately 7:30 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to the intersection of Park Lane Ave. and King Edward St. for a serious motor vehicle collision.
   
A northbound motorcycle appears to have lost control and crashed at this location. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital in critical condition and has since succumbed to injuries sustained during the crash.
   
Police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have information concerning the incident contact traffic investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
