Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Saturday, June 30, 2012     ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON INVESTIGATION C12-125561 On June 29, 2012, at approximately 6:40 p.m., officers in the area of the 300 block of Kennedy Street were summoned to a suite regarding a male who had apparently been shot.   Attending members located a 21 year old male with injuries at which time paramedics were notified. The male was initially listed as being critical, however his condition has since improved to stable.   The investigation has revealed that the male was not shot, however his injuries are consistent with being stabbed.   No arrest(s) have been made and members of the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.     For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
