Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Friday, June 29, 2012      DRUG ARRESTS – C12-124632 On June 28, 2012, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Street Crime Unit and Manitoba Justice Public Safety Unit became involved in a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant, involving a residence located in the 600 block of Langside Street.   On June 29, 2012, at approximately 12:06 a.m., the warrant was executed with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team. Thirteen individuals were located in the residence and detained as a result of the investigation. One individual attempted to evade officers by attending to the rooftop of the home. Due to the assistance of AIR1, this individual was located and taken into custody.   A total of 11 rocks of cocaine (estimated street value $330.00) and approximately $500.00 cash was located and seized.   Five individuals are facing charges: 18 year old male, 17 year old male, 15 year old male, 39 year old male and 41 year old male.   Possessing Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Possess Proceeds of Crime 18 year old – detained 17 year old – detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre 15 year old – detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre 39 year old -  released on a Promise to Appear 41 year old – released on a Promise to Appear       For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
