STABBING ARRESTS – C13-112232
On Monday, June 10, 2013 shortly after 4:00 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to the 400 block of Edmonton Street for the report of a male having been stabbed.
 
Responding members located a twenty five year old male suffering from upper body wounds.  The male was transported to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.
 
Investigation revealed that the victim had been at the residence of one of the accused when one of the other accused arrived.  The victim left without incident only to return to the suite a short time later at which time he was assaulted.
 
Cassandra Lorraine BEARDY, 22 years of Winnipeg, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with Robbery with weapon, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Breach of Probation x 2 and Fail to Comply with Condition Recognizance x 2.

Brendan Bo SEVERIGHT, 20 years of Winnipeg,was arrested at the scene and has been charged with Robbery with weapon, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Breach of Probation.  

Jason Dean BERCIER, 34 years of Winnipeg, was arrested at the scene and charged with Robbery with weapon & Fail to Comply with Condition Recognizance.  He was also processed on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest – Robbery with Weapon, Mischief Under $5,000.00 and Breach of Probation.
 
All three were detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
 
ROBBERY INVESTIGATION – C13-112814
On Monday, June 10, 2013 at approximately 9:30 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 1st 100 block of Clayton Drive for the report of a Robbery that had just occurred.
 
Responding officers located an adult female victim suffering upper body injuries.  She was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 
 
Investigation has revealed that the victim was returning home and had just parked her vehicle when she was approached by two unknown males.  The males proceeded to assault the victim and then stole her vehicle.
 
At approximately 12:30 a.m. the stolen vehicle was located in the area of Doncaster Street and Ubique Crescent and stopped without incident.
 
Several people are currently in custody and the investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
 
 
SEXUAL ASSAULTS – C13-107887
The Winnipeg Police Service has taken the report of two similar incidents that have occurred over the last week.
 
On Tuesday, June 4, 2013 shortly after 7:00 p.m. a twenty year old female was jogging in Assiniboine Park when a male on a bike road by and inappropriately touched her.  No words were exchanged and the male fled on his bike.
 
On Friday, June 7, 2013 at approximately 8:30 p.m. a 12 year old female was walking with friends in the area of Mount Royal Road and Turner Avenue.  At this time a male on a bike passed by and inappropriately touched the victim.  Again, no words were exchanged and the male continued on. 
 
The male is described as:Caucasian, late teens to early twenties, small to medium build, short brown hair (brush cut) and a tattoo on his left calf.  He was riding a black bicycle, BMX or mountain style.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the District 2 Crime Unit.  Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2877 or CrimeStoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
