STABBING INVESTIGATION C13-107322
On June 3, 2013 at approximately 10:10 p.m., Patrol members, Air1 and members of the Forensic Identification Unit responded to a residence located in the 500 block of Victor Street regarding a stabbing incident.
 
Attending members located a 36 year-old-male with serious upper body injuries. He was transported in critical condition, later upgraded to stable condition.
 
The investigation has revealed that the victim was confronted by a lone male suspect who fled the area in a vehicle.
 
No arrest has been made at this time.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
STABBING INVESTIGATION - ARREST C13-107322
On June 3, 2013 at approximately 11:35 p.m., officers responded to a weapon related call for service at a residence located in the 400 block of Redwood Avenue. The investigation has revealed that two males known to each other became involved in a physical confrontation.
 
The 23 year-old attended to the 25 year-olds' residence in an intoxicated state while armed with a knife. The two became involved in a physical confrontation at which time the 23 year-old was disarmed. It was at this time the 25 year-old stabbed the 23 year-old causing serious injuries.
 
Emergency personnel were summoned and the 23 year-old was transported from the scene in critical condition, later upgraded to stable condition. The 25 year-old was taken into custody and is facing the following charges:
 
Aggravated Assault
Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
 
He was detained.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.
