ATTENDING THE SANTA CLAUS PARADE?
Here are some tips for keeping your kids safe at the Santa Claus parade today;
Hold hands Holding hands with your children ensures that you have physical control of them at all times.
Consider a child leash In circumstances such as this these leashes can be helpful.
Use a stroller - Strollers are great at keeping your child in a safe and secure location while you are trying to navigate through large crowds.
Keep your child within arm-reach- If your child is too old for hand holding, leashes or strollers, then make sure that your child is always within arms-reach.
Have identification on your child - When you and your family are going to be in a large crowd, it's a good idea to have some sort of identification on your child's person. If your child gets separated from you, this will allow an adult to contact you immediately.
Carry an up-to-date photo - Always have an up-to-date photo of your child with you when your family goes out and take note of what your child is wearing so that you can provide a good description should he or she go missing. Consider taking a picture of your child with your phone before heading out.
Find a Police Officer - Explain to your child about looking for a police officer if they should become separated from you. Tell your child to make sure that they tell the police officer that they are lost.
Most Important - Keep an eye on your children at all times.
Have fun at the parade!
