Update - Male Arrested – C14-263894
On January 7, 2015 the Winnipeg Police Service requested the public's assistance in locating a male identified as David Siegfried DAHER, 54 years-old.
 
DAHER was wanted for Assault with a Weapon x 3 and Uttering Threats x 3 in connection to an incident in December of 2014.
 
On January 15th DAHER turned himself in to police.
 
He was processed on the outstanding warrant and detained in custody.
 
 
Residential Break & Enter Arrests – C14-247023
Between September 5, 2014 and January 10, 2015, 28 residential break & enter reports from the North Kildonan and East St Paul areas were received by both Winnipeg Police and the R.C.M.P.  In each incident, entry was gained by prying windows or doors.  Once inside, the thieves stole electronics, jewellery, liquor and in one case a firearm.  On five occasions vehicles were stolen after keys were located in the residence.  Four of the vehicles have been recovered.
 
In total, the stolen property exceeds $180,000.00.  Damage is estimated at $27,000.00.
 
Members of the East District Crime Unit were tasked with the investigations.  As a result, they were able to identify three suspects.
 
On January 14, 2015 officers located and arrested the three suspects without incident.
 
On January 15th two search warrants, the first in the 400 block of Ross Avenue and the second in the 500 block of Windsor Avenue were executed.
 
Approximately $15,000.00 in property was recovered including the stolen firearm.
 
Keith BUELL, 21 years of Winnipeg has been charged with the following for his alleged involvement:

  • Break Enter & Theft – Dwelling House x 22
  • Break & Enter with Intent – Dwelling House x 5
  • Break Enter & Commit x 3

Brent James NEPINAK, 20 years of Winnipeg has been charged with the following for his alleged involvement:

  • Break Enter & Theft – Dwelling House x 22
  • Break & Enter with Intent – Dwelling House x 5
  • Break Enter & Commit – Dwelling House x 3
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2
  • Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

Tyrone James ROMANIUK, 38 years of Winnipeg has been charged with the following for his alleged involvement:

  • Break Enter & Theft – Dwelling House x 22
  • Break & Enter with Intent – Dwelling House x 5
  • Break Enter & Commit x 3

All three were detained in custody.
