Commercial Robbery Arrests – C15-13026
On January 19, 2015 members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 800 block of Ellice Avenue for the report of a commercial robbery.  Information provided was that two suspects, one armed with a firearm, the other a knife, had entered the store.  They immediately attended to the counter where they demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.  The two then fled in a vehicle being driven by a third suspect.
 
No injuries were reported.
 
Several units flooded the area however the suspects made good their escape.
 
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation.
 
Shortly after 4:00 p.m. officers located and arrested the three suspects without incident at a residence in the 300 block of Young Street.  The firearm, knife and vehicle used in the robbery, which had previously been reported stolen, were recovered.
 
Amanda Ann Marie LEPINE (34), Brenda Angie WOOD (29) and Preston Lee WOOD (33), all of Winnipeg have been charged with several robbery and weapons related offences for their alleged involvement.
 
All were detained in custody.
 
Two others, unrelated to the commercial robbery, were with the suspects when they were located and were arrested as well.
 
Keith Erlin CHARTRAND, 35 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
 
He was detained in custody.
 
A 17-year-old female of Winnipeg is facing charges of Utter Threats and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00.
 
She was released via a Promise to Appear.
