Gunseen Incidents Arrest – C15-15832
As previously released -On January 23, 2015 at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 600 block of Langside Street for the report of a gun having been seen.  Information provided was that the 25-year-old complainant had been threatened by a male armed with a firearm.  She was not injured and the male was seen to run inside a nearby residence.
 
Multiple units, including members of the Tactical Support Team attended and the residence was secured. Interviews were conducted however the suspect remained outstanding.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit. 
 
On January 24, 2015 at approximately 1:00 a.m., the suspect attended to a hotel bar area located in the 300 block of Ellice Avenue. While there, he produced a pellet gun and began showing it to several people present. Police were called and the suspect fled.
 
Due to the efforts of the Canine Unit, the gun was recovered after the suspect discarded it while fleeing the area.
 
On January 29, 2015, the suspect attended to a residence located in the 300 block of Ross Avenue. He became involved in a dispute with a female known to him at which time he began physically assaulting her. The suspect eventually fled. The victim's injuries were not serious in nature.
 
On January 30, 2015 at approximately 10:50 a.m., the suspect was located in the area of the 400 block of Bannatyne Avenue. A shotgun and ammunition was found in his vehicle at the time of his arrest.     
 
William Walter AHMO, 39 years-old of Winnipeghas been charged with Assault, Forcible Confinement, Mischief Under $5000.00, Uttering Threats, Sexual Assault and over 20 Firearm related offences due to his alleged involvement.
 
He was remanded into custody.
