Sexual Assault Investigation – C15-146657
On the evening of July 13, 2015, members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a sexual assault that had occurred earlier.

Officers met with the 47-year-old victim who advised that at approximately 4:15 p.m. she had been on an eastbound bus at Portage Avenue and Rita Street when a male sat down beside her.  Moments later he inappropriately touched the victim.  She immediately informed the bus driver.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 5'7" tall, clean cut with a skinny build and short dark hair.  He was wearing baggy jean shorts, baggy t-shirt and a black baseball cap.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
