Public Mischief Arrest – C15-154503
On July 24, 2015, shortly before 8:30 a.m. the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a bomb threat from an individual calling from a pay phone in the area of William Avenue and Main Street.  Information provided by the male caller was that a business in the downtown area was going to be 'bombed out' on the week-end.  He immediately hung up and the phone was not answered upon ring back.

Officers attended to the area and spoke with witnesses who were able to describe a male who had been on the phone shortly before their arrival.  A subsequent search of the area resulted in the described male being located at which time he was arrested.

Security at the business, once advised of the threat, conducted a search of their building for any suspicious items with negative results.

Michael Randolph PARKS, 64 years of Winnipeg, has been charged with Public Mischief for his alleged involvement.

He was detained in custody.
