Sexual Assault Arrest C15-158621 On July 30, 2015 at approximately 2:30 a.m. the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of a residential Break and Enter in the first hundred block of Canora Street. The investigation revealed that a male had entered an apartment and sexually assaulted an adult female resident while she was sleeping. The suspect was chased out of the apartment by the residents who then contacted police.
While searching for the suspect police received information that a suspicious male had entered a vehicle in the neighbouring area.
Police arrested a 29 year old male from Winnipeg. Robert Marcel JACK has been charged with the following offences and detained in custody:

Break Enter & Theft (Dwelling House)
Mischief Under $5000
Fatal MVC C15-159097 On Thursday, July 30 2015 approximately 6:25 p.m. the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the intersection of William Avenue and Arlington Street for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
The investigation determined that an adult female was walking eastbound at the intersection of Arlington Street at William Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced deceased later yesterday evening.
Investigators are still attempting to determine the identity of the woman as she had no identification with her at the time of the collision. The woman appeared to be Asian and in her sixties.
The Winnipeg Police Service is asking anyone that may know who the woman is, or who witnessed the collision to contact investigators in the Central Traffic Unit at (204) 986-6271. No charges have been laid at this time.
Luring Arrest C15-52627 Earlier this year, over a three-month period, a 12 year old girl was enticed into sexually explicit conversations which included photos through her cell phone. Police were made aware, and members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit entered into an investigation.
The man continued to engage in the sending of sexually explicit messages and photos, which were obtained by investigators. On July 30th, a 33 year old Winnipeg man turned himself into police at the request of investigators. He has been released on a Promise to Appear.
Serious MVC C15-158983 On July 30, 2015 at approximately 3:30 p.m. the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Bairdmore Boulevard and Branson Crescent.
The drivers of 2 vehicles that had been involved in an earlier collision were stopped on the road and exchanging particulars when a third vehicle struck the rear most vehicle pinning the victim between them.
The victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition, but has since been upgraded to stable.
The investigation is continuing by members of the Central Traffic Unit.
