Sexual Assault Investigation – C15-159107 
On Saturday, August 1, 2015 the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in the area of Killarney Avenue and Dalhousie Drive.

Officers met with the 24-year old victim who advised that she had been at a park in the area on Wednesday, July 29 at approximately 06:00 p.m. when she were approached by an unknown adult male. The male began making inappropriate comments. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim as she was preparing to leave. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as: An adult male, East Indian in appearance, mid-20's, chubby build, light moustache, wearing baggy jeans and a long-sleeve black shirt. 

The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).


Fatal MVC – Update  C15-159097
As previously reported, on Thursday, July 30' 2015 approximately 6:25 p.m. the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the intersection of William Avenue and Arlington Street for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

The investigation determined that an adult female was walking eastbound at the intersection of Arlington Street at William Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle.  The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced deceased later yesterday evening. 

Investigators have now determined the identity of the victim and family members have been notified.
