Mischief to Property – R15-49668
On July 2, 2015 at approximately 12:05 p.m., a 29-year-old female and her young children were travelling in their vehicle in the area of Notre Dame Avenue and Dublin Avenue. While stopped, an unknown male approached the victim's Dodge Caravan and began punching the passenger side window. The male continued his aggressive behaviour by repeatedly kicking and punching the vehicle causing damage under $5000.00.
 
The victim's children began screaming and were visibly upset as a result of the incident. No contact was made and no injuries were reported.
 
The suspect was last seen entering a bus. He has not yet been identified.
 
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 40-years-old, bald, wearing a t-shirt, shorts, black sunglasses and white headphones.
 
 
  


 
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6668 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
Update - Sexual Assaults - Arrest – C15-159107
As previously released,on Saturday, August 1, 2015 the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in the area of Killarney Avenue and Dalhousie Drive.
 
Officers met with the 24-year old victim who advised that she had been at a park in the area on Wednesday, July 29 at approximately 6:00 p.m. when she was approached by an unknown adult male. The male began making inappropriate comments. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim as she was preparing to leave.
 
A suspect description was provided and the investigation continued by members of the Chile Abuse Unit.
 
A second incident was reported which occurred on July 12, 2015 at the same park involving a 35–year-old female victim. The suspect started up a conversation which became sexual in nature. The female attempted to leave at which time the suspect followed. The victim was sexually assaulted in the upper body.
 
As a result of the on-going investigation by members of the Child Abuse Unit, the suspect was identified and arrested on August 5, 2015 at approximately 3:30 p.m.
 
A 17-year-old male is facing the following charges:
 
Sexual Assault x 2
 
He was released on a Promise to Appear.
