Residential Robbery Investigation Update -
C15-102006

As previously released, on May 19, 2015, at approximately 7:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 600 block of St. James Street for the report of a residential robbery.

Officers met with the 41-year-old victim who advised that a known female arrived at his door with an unknown female and two unknown males.  The four immediately began to assault him about the body.  He was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Members of the West District Crime Unit continued with the investigation and later arrested the two females along with one of the male suspects.

On August 18th, investigators located and arrested the second male.

For his alleged involvement, James Timothy POTTINGER, 22 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm, Forcible Confinement and Overcome Resistance by Attempting to Choke, Suffocate or Strangle Another Person.

He has been detained in custody.
