Suspicious – Investigation Concluded - C15-162254
As previously reported, the Winnipeg Police Service has been made aware of a number of occurrences over the last month regarding incidents where women out walking or jogging would find a wallet on the ground with a significant amount of money in it. A male would then appear and claim he had lost something in the area, often retrieving the wallet.

No criminal activity was associated to these incidents and none of the women involved were harassed or threated.

An investigation was undertaken by the West District Crime Unit given the suspicious nature of these incidents. As a result, investigators have identified an individual connected to these events. No charges resulted from these incidents and the investigation into the matter is concluded

Though no charges resulted from this investigation, the Winnipeg Police Service would like to thank members of the public for notifying them of this suspicious activity.
