Vehicle Robbery Investigation – C15-227245
On October 28, 2015 at approximately 2:45 p.m., a 41-year-old female was confronted by an unknown male while in the first 100 block of Linden Park Drive.

The suspect demanded the victim's car keys which she relinquished. He was armed at the time and threatened to harm the victim. No injuries were reported.

The suspect fled the area in the victim's vehicle and police were notified.

The stolen vehicle has since been recovered.

The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 5'7" tall, average build, approximately 17-years-old, short spiked black hair, wearing dark jeans, black t-shirt with a rip by the left chest area.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 13 Crime Unit. Anyone with further information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2848 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).    


Aggravated Assault Arrest – C15-227311
On October 28, 2015 at approximately 4:05 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the 300 block of Pritchard Avenue regarding a stabbing incident.

The investigation has revealed that two neighbours, a 56-year-old male and 49-year-old male became involved in a verbal altercation. At some point during the dispute, the 56-year-old produced a knife and stabbed the 49-year-old victim in the upper body. The suspect fled leaving the victim behind lying on the sidewalk.

The victim was transported in critical condition but later stabilized in hospital.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued to investigate.

The suspect was identified and arrested later the same day.

Steven McLean HILL, 56-years-oldhas been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:

Aggravated Assault
Possession of a Weapon

He was remanded into custody.


Grow Operation Arrests – R15-75268
On October 28, 2015, the Marihuana Grow Operation Unit with the assistance of the East District Community Support Unit and the Tactical Support Team executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant at a residence located in the first 100 block of Mosselle Drive.

As a result of a search of the residence, the following was located and seized by officers:

66 Marihuana plants – estimated street value of $73,920.00
Approximately 5 pounds of harvested marihuana – estimated street value $12,500.00
Currency - $1436.00
Equipment associated to the grow – valued at $3905.00

A 59-year-old male and 52-year-old female are facing the following charges:

Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking
Produce a scheduled substance
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime

Both were released on a promise to appear.
