Update - Officer Involved Shooting – C15-234144
As previously released -On Friday, November 6, 2015 at approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service came in contact with a male driving a vehicle in the area of Grant Avenue and Kenaston Boulevard.
   
At approximately 1:15 p.m., a firearm was discharged by police in the area near this intersection. One adult male was struck and emergency first aid was administered. The male was transported to hospital and later pronounced deceased.
   
The deceased male is identified as Mark DICESARE, 24-years-old.
   
Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Behavioural Health Unit have been activated to assist in the investigation by providing support to the members involved. 
   
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba has been notified and continues to investigate.
   
   
Sexual Assault Investigation – C15-234432
On November 6, 2015 at approximately 11:15 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence located in the 400 block of Keenleyside Street regarding a sexual assault involving an unknown male.
   
The investigation has revealed that an 18-year-old female was staying at a family residence when she was confronted by an unknown male who had entered the home. The female was assaulted rendering her unconscious. It was at this time a sexual assault occurred.
   
Some electronic items including a purse were stolen by the suspect.
   
The victim is in stable condition and members of the Sex Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
   
The suspect is described as a Black male, 25-30 years-old, approximately 5'7" tall, average build, wearing a black toque and navy sweater.
