Attempted Murder Arrest – C15-257984
On December 7, 2015 at approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 300 block of Ellice Avenue regarding an assault.
   
For reasons unknown, an intoxicated 20-year-old male confronted a 23-year-old male while in a nearby parking lot and proceeded to assault him in the upper body causing serious injuries. The suspect returned to the hotel leaving the injured victim behind at which time he was denied entry due to his level of intoxication. The suspect then returned to the victim and proceeded to assault him further.
   
It was at this time emergency personnel were summoned.
   
The victim was transported to hospital and officers located and arrested the suspect on scene.
   
The investigation continued by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.
   
Phillip Charles HASTINGS, 20-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:
   
Attempt to Commit Murder
   
He was remanded into custody.
