Update - Missing Person – Cooper James NEMETH - R16-11373
The Winnipeg Police Service is continuing to request the public's assistance in locating 17-year-old, Cooper James NEMETH. He was last seen during the early morning hours of Sunday, February 14, 2016, in the Valley Gardens area of Winnipeg.

On February 17th, the Winnipeg Police Service requested the public's assistance in locating two witnesses, known as Derek and Brittany, who may have been with Cooper in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 14, 2016.  The parties are believed to have been operating a white Honda Civic.

The Service would like to thank members of the public who immediately began providing information.  Investigators are currently going through the process of verifying, authenticating and following up on these tips.

Today, as part of their on-going training, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) Unit, along with Service volunteers, have been conducting searches north of the perimeter along Henderson Highway.



NEMETH is described a Caucasian male, 6'0" tall, 170 pounds, average build with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black jacket with a River East Marauders hockey logo on the front, black pants, and brown skater runners.

The Winnipeg Police Service remains concerned for NEMETH'S well-being and is asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
