News Release - Winnipeg Police Service

Winnipeg Police Service

Friday, March 10, 2016

On Friday, March 11, 2016, at Pioneer Arena (799 Logan Avenue) the Winnipeg Police Service will facilitate a learn-to-skate event for inner-city youth and their families. The Skates & Badges event will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Skates will be available for use, however sizes are limited. HELMETS ARE MANDATORY. Participants will need to bring their own.

We invite you to come out and skate with police officers and Cadets. This event provides our youth an opportunity to interact with police in a fun and positive environment.

Pizza will be served. Everyone is welcome!

This is also a chance for us to introduce a favourite Canadian outdoor winter activity to some of our newcomers, while building relations with community youth and residents.

Hope to see you there!
