Update - Public Advisory - Sexual Assaults - C16-144338
As previously release -On July 12, 2016 at approximately 5:20 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to an incident where a 46 year old female victim had been assaulted while in the area of the 300 block of Portage Avenue.

Further information indicated that prior to the assault, the victim observed an unknown male performing an indecent act. After indicating that she was calling police, the suspect assaulted her causing her to fall to the ground.

The suspect fled and the victim was treated for minor injuries.

Soon after, additional groping incidents and indecent acts were reported to police in the same area, possibly involving the same male suspect.

The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 20-25 years old, short black hair, heart shaped face, approximately 6'0" tall and skinny build. He was wearing: a white/grey tank top, black/white shorts, black/white runners and baseball cap.

Members of the Sex Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
