Aggravated Assault Arrest - C16-149986
On July 20, 2016, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Winnipeg Police general patrol units responded to a report of an assault that occurred in the area of Waterfront Drive and Bannatyne Avenue.
Officers located an adult female with various injuries requiring immediate medical attention. The investigation has revealed that the victim was confronted by an unknown male and assaulted.
A 35 year old male suspect was tracked by members of the Canine Unit and arrested.   
The victim was conveyed to hospital by members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and is in stable condition.
The suspect is facing the following charges:
  Aggravated Assault
  Possession of a Weapon x 2
  Carry Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition x 2
  Mischief Under $5000.00
He remains in custody.
