Robbery: Public Assistance Requested – C16-105261
On May 25, 2016 at approximately 2:30 a.m., an 18-year-old female (victim) was at a restaurant in 900 block of Henderson Highway with a number of friends. An unknown female began banging on the window demanding money. The victim alerted management; however the suspect female entered the restaurant and approached the table, grabbing the victim's cell phone.
   
The victim pursued the suspect to the parking lot where a struggle ensued over the phone. The suspect was armed with an unknown weapon. As a result the victim sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization. The suspect was able to flee the area on a bicycle prior to police arrival.
   
Later that same morning police were advised of a residential break-in that had occurred overnight in the 100 block of Mossdale Avenue. Items left at this location were linked to the earlier robbery.
   
The suspect in the robbery is described as:
-  a female in her twenties, Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 5'4" in height, thin build with dyed blonde/orange coloured shoulder length hair, a pierced bottom lip and wearing a black coloured hoodie with white and pink on the front.

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspect in this incident. This investigation is continuing by members of the East District Crime Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
