Wednesday, September 21, 2016  Threat to Schools – C16-197121 On September 21, 2016 at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Winnipeg School Division received a fax message that contained a threat to all schools within the division.     It appears that similar threats have been received by schools and school divisions in numerous locations in Canada, including Prince Edward Island and Halifax, Nova Scotia. In addition, there are reports of threats of a similar nature being received at a location in the United States.     The Winnipeg Police Service is working closely with the Winnipeg School Division to ensure all reasonable safety measures are being employed.     The Winnipeg Police Service responds to incidents of this nature with the highest priority.
