Joint First Responders Scenario Training Planned
On Sunday, October 30, members of the Winnipeg Police Service, Tactical Emergency Medical Support and Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) will be conducting a live training exercise inside St. Vital Centre.

The training is important, as it allows for members of WPS to train with first responders in WFPS. The mall provides emergency personnel a relevant public training space to coordinate a response in the event emergency services are needed quickly.

The Winnipeg Police Service and City of Winnipeg would like to the thank St. Vital Centre for allowing us to use their space.

"Our team at St. Vital Centre is proud to support Winnipeg response services by partnering with the Winnipeg Police Service and Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services in this unique training opportunity and by providing the space to run their training event," said Kyle Waterman, the Retail Manager of St. Vital Centre.

The training will take place after the mall closes. Silvercity St. Vital Cinemas will remain open during the training. Signs will be posted inside that area notifying guests to the training activity.
