Public Assistance Requested:

As previously released - On February 19, 2017 at approximately 1:50 p.m., a small group of teenage girls were shopping inside a mall located in the 1200 block of St. Mary's Road when they observed an unknown male following them. The male continued to follow the group so closely that the girls entered a store with the hope to evade him.

Just outside a store, still within the mall, the male appeared to have sprayed or otherwise deposited an unknown substance on the clothing of one of the girls.

The male remained in the area for a brief period of time before fleeing. The girls were not injured as a result of the incident.

Members of the Winnipeg Police Service were contacted and a report was made.

He is described as a Caucasian male, 50+ years old, 5'7"- 5'8" tall, heavy build, wrinkled weathered-looking face and wearing a blue flat-style felt hat with a small brim and blue/black jacket.

Members of the Sex Crimes Unit have been notified and continue to investigate.

The following image has been obtained from mall security. The male shown below is considered a person of interest and efforts to identity him are on-going.
