Sexual Assault – Arrest: R17-7844
The Winnipeg Police Sex Crimes Unit has been involved in a long-term investigation involving allegations of sexual assault beginning in the spring of 2016.
   
In late January and early February, 2017, two victims contacted investigators. The two adult female victims advised that they had both been victims of sexual assaults that had occurred, one in 2012 and one in 2014. The assaults were alleged to have happened while the victims were in a client – patient relationship with a male practising as an Osteopathic Therapist in a clinical setting.
   
It's alleged that the victims, while receiving therapy at a location in the Wildwood Park area, were inappropriately touched and sexually assaulted. The victims were not known to each other.
   
As a result of the investigation a 50-year-old male from Winnipeg was arrested on March 8, 2017. He was charged with:
 - Sexual Assault x 2
   
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear.
   
Commercial Break-ins – Arrest: C17-42773
Winnipeg Police became aware of a series of break-ins to commercial properties that were occurring in early March of 2017. An investigation was undertaken by detectives from the East District Crime Unit.
   
Between March 1 and March 12, nineteen separate incidents occurred throughout the City of Winnipeg. Total damages to the properties are estimated to be in excess of $20,000. Stolen property is estimated to over $15,000.
   
On March 13, 2017 at approximately 11:45 p.m., general patrol officers located a suspect vehicle that had been identified in the investigation. After a short time, with the assistance of Air-1, the vehicle was stopped in the area of the 200 block of Poplar Avenue. 
   
As a result, police have charged Clinton Garry QUESNEL, 38, with the following charges:
 - Break, Enter and Theft x 17
 - Fail to Comply Recognizance x 8
 - Flight While Pursued by Police
 - Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
 - Break and Enter with Intent x 2
